The SELSEY SHUTTLE MINIBUS serves all the Selsey Community and is run wholly by Volunteers. We urgently now need the help of a Volunteer who can undertake the rewarding general role of Treasurer for us.

The role does not require the abilities of a qualified Accountant and the duties are not expected to require more than about 12 hours input per month. Training and continual guidance will be on hand. A general summary of the role is as follows:

The Selsey Shuttle Treasurer – Volunteer:Collect all monies from a; our Northern Co-op based garage; and b; as a result of private hires ;

  • Bank all income (Lloyds Bank)
  • Generate monthly Income and Expenditure Spreadsheets for distribution to members of The Selsey Shuttle
  • Pay Co-ordinator, Phone Bill, and Private Hire drivers as required, and other necessary items as purchased throughout the year
  • Re-Claim VAT on a quarterly basis
  • Claim the West Sussex County Council grant each month
  • Claim the Bus Services Government subsidy annually
  • Maintain a full set of accounts to enable them to be Audited in November and presented to Companies House
  • To maintain and update a computer generated and ‘hard copy’ of all accounts.
