I know what you’re thinking – “I’m a business, I’m trying to make money, pay my staff, generate business and just keep my head above water – I haven’t got the money or time to be green tool!”
However making steps to be green can be beneficial in many ways, and to your pocket too:
Chichester DC is has been working with the Sustainable Business Partnership (SBP) for the past 20 years to help local businesses save money and reduce their environmental impact; and I’m please to say the SBP’s latest programme has just launched.
The UTILISE PLUS PROGRAMME offers a range of services:
It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), supported by the Coast-to-Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, and delivered by the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC.
So why not join them on the 10th November when the Chichester District Council will be hosting a Business Breakfast Event at their District Council offices from 8am to 10am. These events are a great way to build your knowledge of energy saving by hearing from expert speakers, being inspired by real-life case studies, and networking with others over a pastry and bacon sandwich.
Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 to cover up to one-third of the cost of best practice energy efficiency projects.
An analysis of energy consumption, which can include a robust audit of the premises. This identifies measures to reduce energy use, costs and carbon emissions.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY WORKSHOPS
These half-day, practical sessions explore both quick-win and longer term energy efficiency measures.
A varied events programme to build energy efficiency awareness and knowledge, and enable networking with like-minded organisations, is currently in development. These will take place throughout the Coast-to-Capital Local Enterprise Partnership region.
Case Study visits offer an insight into organisations that have implemented energy efficiency measures, from basic to best practice, to share their successes and issues.
Business Breakfasts allow for knowledge-building and networking with expert speakers and real life case studies.
