October 3, 2017It pays to be Green!

Being Green doesn’t have to cost the earth and for small businesses it can be a great wait to cut overheads in a sustainable manner.

I know what you’re thinking – “I’m a business, I’m trying to make money, pay my staff, generate business and just keep my head above water – I haven’t got the money or time to be green tool!”

However making steps to be green can be beneficial in many ways, and to your pocket too:

  • Save money
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Increase productivity
  • Improve competitiveness
  • Reduce risk
  • Enhance staff loyalty
  • Energy efficiency delivers cost savings which boost profit.
  • Once made, you keep benefitting from those savings year after year!

Chichester DC is has been working with the Sustainable Business Partnership (SBP) for the past 20 years to help local businesses save money and reduce their environmental impact; and I’m please to say the SBP’s latest programme has just launched.

The UTILISE PLUS PROGRAMME offers a range of services:

  • grant funding
  • events
  • workshops
  • fully-funded energy audits, for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

It is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), supported by the Coast-to-Capital Local Enterprise Partnership, and delivered by the Sustainable Business Partnership CIC.

So why not join them on the 10th November when the Chichester District Council will be hosting a Business Breakfast Event at their District Council offices from 8am to 10am. These events are a great way to build your knowledge of energy saving by hearing from expert speakers, being inspired by real-life case studies, and networking with others over a pastry and bacon sandwich.
